Sir Alex Ferguson is confident Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo will be fit to face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday as United bid to go nine points clear of Chelsea.
The midfield duo both picked up knocks during United's 1-0 Champions League win away at Lille on Tuesday, but have since trained and look set to make the Reds' starting line-up for the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday.
"Ryan and Cristiano are the only two doubts but they both trained on Friday," Sir Alex confirmed at his Friday press briefing, which you can watch on MUTV Online now. "I'm confident they'll be okay."
With Chelsea in Carling Cup final action against Arsenal in Cardiff, United can further increase their advantage over the champions.
Sir Alex admits another three points would be a big plus for the Reds, but still expects a few more twists and turns during the remaining weeks of the campaign.
"Going nine points clear won't do us any harm, that's for sure," he declared. "But it's important not to look too far ahead. We have an important game against Fulham, hopefully we can win it, but we know it won't be easy.
"In my experience no-one ever hands you a title, you have to earn the right to win it. The competition in the Premiership is almost tribal now. There are a lot of different areas involved, and that has made it more intense.
"You've got to expect some tough battles and other games where you carry a bit of luck. But that's football. I'm prepared for all that.
